So these do HELP with rattling. In fact, Ford calls these weatherstrips "anti-rattlers" in their old parts books. GM calls them "beltline weatherstrips." In any case they do in fact help to prevent rattling. However, if you have a severe rattle it may be due to other factors like loose parts on the lift mechanism, poor alignment of glass, etc. See full answer »
